艾米丽coscomb '18 participated in a four-week internship in the ag线上比赛 Center for Craft Food & Beverage in January 2018. Her project involved implementing and validating testing protocols for molecular diagnostic identification of beer spoilage bacteria using automated DNA-based detection methods.

“I chose biology as my major because it has always interested me. The hands-on work and research in the biology field is very intriguing and fun for me. The small classes at Hartwick allow you to have great relationships with the professors. They’re open to help you with anything and they’re there for you. Professor Mary Allen and the Director of the ag线上比赛 Center for Craft Food & Beverage, 亚伦高乐, have influenced me so much that I’m going to do my senior re搜索 project with them.”
